In “Cuchillo de palo” two generations face each other: the one that has lived through the dictatorship and is silent, and the one that lives in a democracy has nothing to say because it does not know the origin of the meaning of “108” (name of the lists of homosexuals). Silence remains established. In the family and in the country, the same photos have been hidden. As if no one dared to question, the same way of bowing their heads, of not looking into the eyes, the same common prejudices, the secrets under the table...
