The Instituto Cervantes Sydney, in collaboration with the Consulate of the Argentine Republic in Sydney, presents a new edition of its Argentine Film Series, inviting audiences to discover some of the most representative works of Argentine cinema. Spanning different genres, from classic comedy to thriller and contemporary drama, the series offers a journey through stories that reflect the creativity, humour and social complexities of Argentina.
Between April and June 2026, three iconic films will be screened: Waiting for the Hearse (1985), On Probation (2005) and The Thursday Widows (2009). Screenings will take place at the Consulate of the Argentine Republic in Sydney and at Instituto Cervantes Sydney. A great opportunity to experience outstanding Argentine cinema and explore the richness of its film tradition.
