Biodiversity in Colombia are 3 events organised by the Embassy of Colombia in Australia, the Consulate General of Colombia in Sydney and the Instituto Cervantes where we will have the occasion to screen 2 documentaries and to have an special Conference with the visit of the General Director of National Parks in Colombia and where we will show the great biodiversity that it is found in the country:

10 October at 18:00h

 - Andakí, trip of life: A group of scientifics and several members from the community will make a reflexión on life and death while they explore the great biodiversity from a place which is marked by history.

 After the screening of this documentary we will offer a coffee tasting to the attendees.

17 October at 18:00h

- Vichada, under the custody of life: A reflexive trip among the woods surrounding the Tomo River, which is found in Amazonia and the Orinoquia.

22 October at 18:00 pm:

- Discovering the Natural National Park Serrania from Chiribiquete in Colombia:

- Having been recently declared Word Humanity Heritage (natural and cultural) by the UNESCO and being the biggest park found in Colombia, the park is sited in the Amazonas of Colombia, enjoying a rich and extraordinary wildness covered with unique landscapes and combining nature and art thanks to the Ruprest paintings dated older than 20,000 years old.

In this special event we would have the opportunity to enjoy the screening of a short video that will introduce the park to the audience and followed by a Seminar offered by the Director of National Parks in Colombia. After this conference we will have a Q&A sesión for those willing to solve queries and the event will be finished with food and refreshments for the audience.
