33rd Symposium on Children and Young Adult Literature & Book Fair
On Friday, 31st May 2024, the Instituto Cervantes of New York celebrates the 33rd Symposium on Children and Young Adult Literature and Book Fair. The Symposium aims to contribute to the professional development of New York City teachers and features experts in children's and youth literature, artists' books and in training teachers of Spanish.
This year our first lecturer is the writer Patxi Zubizarreta, winner of the 2023 National Prize for Children's and Young Adult Literature in Spain with the book “Zerria”. Other speakers are Teresa Nasarre, writer and teacher of Spanish at DOE, New York, and Camilo Otero, artist programs manager of the Center for Book Arts in New York.
Accompanying the Symposium, the Book Fair takes place, bringing together publishers and distributors dedicated to children's and youth literature.
