The elements of wine: grape
The emphasis on grape varieties was the American response to the focus on soils traditionally practiced in Europe. In the United States, and later in many other countries around the world, wineries put more attention in the grape varieties than in the soils, labeling the wines after them and as a result provoking the most significant transformation of the wine world in centuries. This change also impacted European regions and brought awareness and necessary research into grape varieties and vines. In this tasting we will explore the impact of the grape varieties in defining the personality of the wines.
