The Elements of Wine: Climate
The climate of a specific area is one of the three most important factors, along with soil and varieties, in the personality of a wine –and many times overlooked. It is also a crucial component of the concept of terroir and throughout history it has played a decisive role in the choice of grape varieties. In this seminar we will explore the impact of climate in the character of the wines of different regions, and how changes in microclimates dramatically affect the personality of the wines.
