The ANGEL: A conversations between Allen Ginsberg & Carlos Edmundo de Ory

In 1987 the poets Carlos Edmundo de Ory and Allen Ginsberg met at a poetry performance organized by Gas Station cultural center and Columbia University. The Argentine painter Osvaldo Gomariz introduced to both poets, among whom an immediate affinity emerges. From this friendship has resulted the Ory's book ANGEL without a permit, where Ginsberg collaborates in the translation into English. Later, Ory translates into Spanish some Ginsberg's poems in the Revista Atlántica. Through the existing bibliography, the voices of the witneses in the meetings and the catalogue preserved in the Carlos Edmundo de Ory Foundation, placed in Cadiz (spain). we'll tell the public this little known link between the Beat Generation and the spanish poetry
