Breaking Ceramics

Following the work of artist Inma Barrero and her exhibition "Terruños", the Instituto Cervantes New York will hold a discussion about the traditional use of ceramics, how we repair them traditionally in different countries and how we are pushing the medium to create art.

Exploring ceramics as a way to represent different stages of life, the connection with Mother Earth and the need to repair, the panelists will reflect on the evolution of this material and its creative possibilities, the tradition of using blue and white and the acoustic qualities of ceramics and porcelain.
