Ribera del Duero and Toro wines are made with Tempranillo. In Napa and Sonoma, Cabernet is the most important grape used in their acclaimed reds. But despite using different varieties, the wines of the Duero and the reds from California’s North Coast share some similarities, especially its tannic and concentrated structure. In this tasting we will compare these powerful age-worthy wines.
