Cuban Piano Women: 100 Years of Bebo Valdés

Bebo Valdés is Cuba's mosty influential figue. From being the resident pianist at Tropicana club in Havana in the early 50's, to recording with Nat King Cole, Bebo's career spanned over six decades. He left Cuba in the 1960´s and thanks to Paquito D'Rivera he has a musical revival with the album "Bebo Rides Again". Honoring Valdes' centennial, two youg women pianists of today's contemporary latin jazz scene, Glenda Del E and Ariacne Trujillo will reimagine and interpret Valdés' music.
