Discussions with professional women from Spanish-speaking countries who work in science in positions of responsibility. This colloquium is one of the activities presented by Instituto Cervantes New York in celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (February 11) and Women´s Month (March). Spanish scientists working in international environments will talk about their achievements as well as the professional and personal challenges they face. Questions relating to the place of the Spanish language in research and science will be addressed: Is there room for growth in the use of Spanish, or is English the only option? Has this changed over time? Is it essential to publish in English or are there more scientific publications in Spanish? Is English the working language in large corporations? Etc.
