Kerouac Festival NYC: The new ways of poetry.
The Kerouac Festival is an international meeting of multilingual poetry that mixes the word with music and performance, in a vibrant exhibition that takes the poetic language from the page to the stage. Artists and poets arrive from Mexico and Spain to communicate scenes and expand poetry on both sides of the Atlantic, with New York City as the hub of contemporary poetry, charting new paths for the spoken word. Anne Waldman, Rocío Cerón, Marina Oroza and Lila Zemborain, among others, will participate in this seventh edition in New York. Respected and consolidated poets in their respective countries who are at the festival to share their poetic voice, in four days of readings, recitals, concerts and tributes with the Beat Generation and their transgressive and vindictive poetry as a source of inspiration.
