Alberto Manguel was born in Buenos Aires in 1948. He lived in Italy, United Kingdom, Tahiti, France and Canada, and currently resides in Buenos Aires. He has cultivated the world of letters practically in all its facets - essay, novel, literary criticism, anthology, translation and edition -, which has earned him as a reference of the international literary scene
