Contemporary Latin American writing and climate crisis
The climate crisis of the last decades has given place to a great literary production in the Latin American context that places environmental changes at the center of its themes and formal experimentation. The same way individuals and society respond to this new phenomena, new literary genres emerge that capture or attempt to bring us closer to the experience of these changes in the land, seas, fauna, vegetation or humans.
This panel will hear the thoughts of writers, editors and researchers who from New York and from Latin America have explored this literary phenomenon through the edition and publication of Hostos Review/ Revista Hostosiana no.19 ¨Towards an environmental cartography of South America”.
