Storytelling in Central America

Storytelling in Central America Garp

On the fourth day of Voices from Central America, we bring you oral storytelling and puppet shows, offering a special day in Spanish for the entire family, from the youngest to the oldest (0 to 99 years old). A day full of stories, imagination, and fun.

📚 David Unger will narrate "Topo Pecoso/Moley Mole," the story of Milagros, a young girl living in Mexico City whose world is suddenly changed by the 2017 earthquake. Through her childlike perspective, we discover our fragility in the face of tragedy. Amid the chaos, her stuffed animal and loyal friend, Topo Pecoso, helps her survive and reunite with her family. [Cinco Books bookstore will facilitate the purchase of David Unger's book.]

📖 Denise Phé-Funchal will lead an interactive reading on happiness, engaging the little ones while making the adults reflect on what truly makes us happy.

🎭 Additionally, the puppet show "Earth Day" with Karys will transport us to a world where nature and its care are the protagonists, offering a visual and educational experience for the whole family.

A perfect day to share as a family and enjoy the magic of stories and puppets!
