In this open and inclusive conversation, four prominent voices from today’s cultural landscape—Rodrigo Cuevas, Xaime Martínez, Luke Bowe, and Raquel López Fernández—come together to reflect on the present and future of artistic creation in Asturias. Under the title “Asturias. At the Hearthside”, the event invites dialogue around: - The innovation and creativity of contemporary Asturian artists, who explore new forms of expression while maintaining a strong connection to their roots.
- The uniqueness of Asturian cultural heritage a minoritized culture within the Spanish context whose recovery and visibility become acts of resistance and identity affirmation.
- The international vocation of Asturian music and art, which blend folklore and local themes with cosmopolitan languages, resulting in hybrid and universal proposals.
- The role of the cultural industry in rural areas as a driver of sustainable development, social cohesion, and territorial revitalization.
An opportunity to listen, share, and think collectively, warmed by the symbolic “llar” the traditional hearth, reimagined today as a space for gathering, creation, and future.
