25 year celebration: The resurgence of Toro

Just around twenty-five years ago, Toro, a famous wine area in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, reemerged thanks to the pioneering work of Mariano García, Vega Sicilia and Numanthia. They established a style of flavorful, powerful and tannic reds, with an astonishing capacity of aging. Today, over sixty wineries are raising the ante of the whole region. In this seminar we will taste how these acclaimed Toro wines age, along with some of the best wines from more recent vintages.
