1996 is a top contender for the best vintage ever in the Duero areas. It also delivered classic wines in Rioja, as well as excellent reds in some of the most important appellations in Spain. It was also a superb year in Médoc and California. With all these wines turning thirty, it is a great time to taste and enjoy them.
