Gabriel García Marquez in translation: a conversation with his translators in India Open Clipart-Vectors

Instituto Cervantes New Delhi, in collaboration with the Embassy of Colombia and the Association of Hispanists in India, presents a roundtable discussion on Gabriel García Márquez and will introduce the recently published Hindi & Bengali translations of two of his works.

The event will be inaugurated by the Ambassador of Colombia, Víctor Hugo Echeverri Jaramillo, and will be attended by Dr. Maneesha Taneja from the University of Delhi, Hindi translator of Chronicle of a Death Foretold and Twelve Pilgrim Tales, as well as other translators of García Márquez’s works, Sameer Rawal from Delhi and Arundhati Bhattacharya from Kolkata. Professor Juan Moreno Blanco from the University of Valle, Cali, Colombia, will also participate virtually.
