Untamed Objects

Untamed Objects Jasone Miranda Bilbao

The title of the exhibition 'Untamed objects' refers to the attitude of resilience and adaptability characteristic of the work of artist and curator Jasone Miranda- Bilbao. In this exhibition she will exhibit new works, made expressly for the exhibition, and her older creations (sculptures, drawings, photographs and video). The different mediums and intensities of the work make the eyes navigate between three dimensions and the physical rhythm of things. Moments of rest, sliding, recognition, surprise, and even shock are generated. Jasone Miranda-Bilbao is a Basque artist who has been living and working in India for twenty three years several months a year and this exhibition constitutes a reflection on the relationship of her work with this country and her commitment to the artistic context of New Delhi . In general, her artistic practice oscillates between the production of her own work and the facilitation of the work of others; She has previously organized two exhibitions at Instituto Cervantes that bring together the work of artists from Europe and India (2016 and 2023). The curator, Jasone Miranda-Bilbao, will give a guided tour of the exhibition during the opening.
