No River Protects Me From Myself

No River Protects Me From Myself Miguel Ángel Acosta Quiroga

The impossibility of representing a reality that is not one's own, without distancing oneself, leads the author to a backward flight in which she reflects on the foundations of identity with the aim of finding the reasons that push her to look far away, as if it were a sentence. Synopsis: No river protects me from mine takes as its starting point the mysterious theft of material filmed in the Central African Republic, within the forest of the Congo basin, as a response to the conflicts that arose in the fragile and transsubjective encounter with the not - me: an encounter that can only be practiced or experienced, because if it is virtualized, it ceases to exist.
