Miguel Trápaga in India
Miguel Trápaga will perform works by Dioniso Aguado, the maestro Joaquín Rodrigo or Manuel M. Ponce, among others, in this show, in a pleasant musical tour dedicated mainly to composers of the 20th century but with some brief forays into the Baroque period and 19th-century classicism.
Committed to new music and to the lesser-known guitar repertoire, Miguel Trápaga is one of the most outstanding classical guitar players today. In his more than twenty-year professional career, he has performed in the main auditoriums in Spain, Europe and the five continents, and has made numerous recordings, such as El concierto de Aranjuez, by Joaquín Rodrigo, or Concierto de Benicasim, by Leo Brouwer, both for the prestigious NAXOS label. He is currently a professor of guitar at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid and is regularly invited to give improvement courses in Spain and abroad.
