To put an end to the suffering caused by the death of their relatives, four villagers come forward to organize a festival to placate the patron saint of the village. In doing so, the villagers are convinced that they would be able to pacify the saint, who, in turn will relieve them of years of mourning. For that reason, the four religious administrators to go beyond their call of duty to organize the grand festival. In spite of all the ordeals they had to go through during the preparations, they manage to host the great festival, which would conclude with the ritual of symbolic burial of all the deceased relatives. However, one of the administrators meets with an unfortunate accident, which villagers come to believe as a bad omen, and which raises questions about the saint’s readiness for calming their pains.
