Literary translations from Spanish to English
Tribuna de Hispanistas indiosThe very long journey of literary translations, spread over more than four decades, is extremely difficult to summarize in a short period of time and space. However, the discourse will begin with a chronological growth of Spanish literary translation into Hindi in general. Mainly, two different schools are found in this genre. The first is the one that dealt with Hindi translations of the English texts already translated from Spanish. And the second, which focused on translations made directly from the source language (i.e. Spanish) to the target language (i.e. Hindi). The lecture will not only show glimpses of various translations already available, but also the gigantic world of words that a translator faces and suffers in his creative solitude.
