Long Night of LiteratureS 2025
Long Night of LiteratureS is a literary festival organized annually by the EUNIC India cluster, with the participation of more than 12 European countries. This year, in addition to the event in New Delhi, we will hold two more editions in Kolkata and Varanasi.
The author selected by Instituto Cervantes to represent Spain is Marcos Giralt Torrente, who made his debut with the short story collection Entiéndame, followed by the novels París (Herralde Novel Prize) and Los seres felices. In 2010, he published the autobiographical novel Tiempo de vida (National Narrative Prize and European Strega Prize), one of the most influential works in contemporary Spanish literature. He has written for various Spanish and international media outlets, most regularly for the newspaper El País.
