Interpreting Ángel González: Indian Vibes

On the occasion of the birth centenary of the poet Ángel González (1925-2025), Instituto Cervantes New Delhi is organizing a concert in which Spanish poetry and traditional Indian music go hand in hand. In this fusion of two worlds, Minu Bakshi, Indian artist, composer and poet will musicalize a selection of the poems of Ángel González.
Minu Bakshi is an acclaimed singer, poet, and cultural ambassador whose creative journey has uniquely bridged India with the world through music, poetry, and art. Passionate about preserving and celebrating cultural heritage, she has performed extensively across the globe, blending Indian classical and Sufi traditions with international influences, and earning admiration from diverse audiences. In addition, Minu Bakshi has dedicated her life to teaching and promoting the Spanish language. A professor of Spanish at Jawaharlal Nehru University, she has also worked as a translator and interpreter for the Indian government.
The artist will be accompanied by musicians: Humza (sarangi), Ganesh Mehra (keyboards), Sabir Chulam (tabla), and Sahil Mehra (guitar).
