On the occasion of the birth centenary of poet Ángel González (1925–2025), Instituto Cervantes in New Delhi presents an institutional edition of seven poems by the Spanish author, translated for the first time into different Indian languages: English, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, and Marathi. 


This unique edition consists of a foreword by the director, María Gil Burman, and seven poems by Ángel Gonzalez in Spanish accompanied by translations into English (by Devika Bakshi), Bengali (by Subhro Bandopadhyay), Hindi (by Sameer Rawal), Marathi (by Akshay Kale), and Urdu (by Madhuvan Sharma). The book has been illustrated and designed by Anusha Dhawan and the team at The Design Village.
