The commitment to nature and the fight against the large corporations that attack natural resources has been documented by various filmmakers since the 1970s, especially in Latin America. The leading role in these struggles always has its banner in the indigenous populations, which is raised against the imposition of capitalism in their territories. In this case, Nélida's story brings us closer to the danger that hangs over the lagoons in the Peruvian area of Cajamarca, which hide rich gold deposits under their waters. Synopsis: Nélida, a woman in the Andes who speaks with the spirits of the water, uses her abilities to confront a mining company that threatens to destroy the lagoon that she considers her mother. And it is that, just below the Nélida lagoons, lies a rich gold deposit that confronts the peasants who fear running out of water with the largest gold mining company in South America.
