Commemorating Gabriel García Marquez
Instituto Cervantes New Delhi, in collaboration with the Colombian Embassy and the Association of Hispanists in India, presents a roundtable discussion on Gabriel García Márquez and will introduce the recently published Hindi translations of two of his works: Chronicle of a Death Foretold and Twelve Pilgrim Tales.
The works were translated directly from Spanish into Hindi by Dr. Maneesha Taneja of the University of Delhi. The roundtable participants will be Prof. Sonya Surabhi Gupta (Professor, Jamia Millia Islamia University), Prof. Vijaya Venkataraman (Professor, University of Delhi and Head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Studies), and Prof. Vikash Singh (Head of Hispanic Studies at IGNOU).
