Opening Windows

Opening Windows Oscar Baiges

Within the incessant work of director Vicky Calavia, the use of the documentary to go beyond its informative confession and work in pursuit of memory and knowledge finds in Opening Windows an invaluable approach to the history of women who transgress their attributed places socially. The interview format is accompanied by a mise-en-scène that exemplifies much of the courage and vicissitudes, many of them terrible, that these women have had to go through in their lives.

Synopsis: A story in seven voices, in which seven LTBIQ women make their affective-sexual and gender diversity visible through their experiences, halfway between drama and humor, tenderness and reality, not always easy in their day-to-day . A story of emotions, desires and affections, which goes from the binary —black and white—, to color, to the plurality of options and choices, of ways of being and being in the world, through the relationship with the own body and gender.
