Zarzuela-Sarswela. Recital of zarzuela pieces

As a result of the zarzuela workshop led by pianist Ramón Grau at the Conservatory of Music of the University of Santo Tomas in Manila (UST), this recital presents a selection of pieces from classic Spanish zarzuelas (El barberillo de Lavapiés, La del manojo de rosas) alongside works from Philippine sarswelas.

Ramón Grau has been the principal pianist at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid since 2016. He has composed music for Luis Navarrete’s feature films El Fantasma de la Sauna and Calcinación , as well as for the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra with whom he will premiere his piano concerto Estigio in December 2025.
