A film about the Cuban dancer Carlos Acosta, a journey in time through his life, a legend on the dance world and the first black dancer to perform some of the most famous ballet roles, originally written for white folks, in companies like the Houston Ballet and the Royal Ballet London (where he became the first dancer for more than 15 years). It tells about his harsh childhood until his adulthood, a period which will be played by the dancer himself, who, despite his sucess and international recognition, never forgot his origins.
