The 13th MANILA International SILENT Film Festival

The Manila International Silent Film Festival, which is celebrating its 13th edition from August 30 to September 1, is considered to be the only one of its kind in Asia. The Festival displays silent films from various countries with musical accompaniment by local bands. The Spanish entry is the film "¡Es mi hombre!" (Carlos Fernández Cuenca, 1927). The 13th International Silent Film Festival is organised by the Film Development Council of the Philippines, the Japan Foundation, the Instituto Cervantes, the Philippine-Italian Association, the Goethe-Institut Philippinen and the Embassy of Austria, in partnership with SM Aura Premier, and with the support of the Embassy of Italy, Cineteca Bologna, Embassy of Japan, Embassy of Spain, Filmoteca Española, Matsuda Film Productions, Globe, HearLife Foundation, Inc., Med El, Barista and Coffee Academy of Asia.
