Tristesse

The film director Juan Bravo finds himself in a deep existential crisis: his latest film has been vilified by critics, and his friends, relatives and even business associates do not miss out on any opportunity to speak ill of him. He seeks refuge in the city of Oviedo (Asturias), wandering around its empty streets at night, going to parties that are real circuses full of fakers, and attending concerts and religious and traditional ceremonies in search of inspiration for his next film. He also remembers his childhood, but, and more importantly, that strange woman who asked him to visit her in her apartment at precisely 10 p.m., not a minute earlier, not a minute later.
