Campeones

Marco (Javier Gutiérrez), the main character, is forced by law to train a group of patients who are part of a basketball team. Although he isn’t happy to begin with, Marco will soon see how much he has to learn from them.

The basketball team are not played by professional actors, which gives the film an extra layer or realness.

Campeones is one of the most commercially successful Spanish contemporary films. This comedy / drama has become a flagship film for people with mental illness and their integration into sports and society.
