PHotoEspaña. Spain, Portrait of a Country
«PHotoEspaña. Spain, Portrait of a Country» is born from the collaboration between PHotoESPAÑA and TurEspaña in order to reflect a diverse and contemporary vision of today's Spain. This exhibition is based on a photography contest and the book A day in the history of Spain, an initiative that took place in 1987 to portray the incipient modernity of a country in the midst of a process of transformation. The exhibition brings together the 19 winning photographs of the contest --those corresponding to the 17 autonomous communities and the two autonomous cities, Ceuta and Melilla. The initiative has also had the participation of the main contemporary Spanish photographers, whose photographic material has been reflected in the edition of the book España. Retrato de un país. Through these images we invite you to discover a very personal look at Spain --a selection of unique spaces, settings and popular festivals that make up a mosaic full of contrasts.
