Pedro Páramo

Pedro Páramo Netflix

“I came to Comala because I was told that my father, a man named Pedro Páramo, lived here.” Thus begins Pedro Páramo, one of the great novels of the 20th century in the Spanish.

When its author, Juan Rulfo, published this work in 1955, he was perhaps unaware of the tremendous impact his novel would have on contemporary Latin American literature.

The Instituto Cervantes in Manila and the Mexican Embassy in the Philippines are pleased to invite you to the screening of Pedro Páramo (Rodrigo Prieto, 2024). Discussion by Jessica Zafra & Marlon James Sales.
