Carlos Saura begins, with this story of a hunt that brings together three old friends, a metaphorical cinema that he will develop by the hand of the Spanish producer Elías Querejeta in the sixties of the twentieth century. Personal problems and tensions between them will surface until the day turns into hell, as a reflection of the battle that took place in that same preserve during the civil war.
