La caza

La caza Videomercury/Egeda

Carlos Saura begins, with this story of a hunt that brings together three old friends, a metaphorical cinema that he will develop by the hand of the Spanish producer Elías Querejeta in the sixties of the twentieth century. Despite the great problems with the censorship prevailing in Spain at the time, the film – winner of the Silver Bear for best director at the Berlin competition – managed to make clear the look towards the winners and losers of the Spanish Civil War in an interesting decomposition of the Francoist patriarchy that, even today, He surprises by the impact of his images. Synopsis: Three friends and the young relative of one of them plan to enjoy a pleasant day of hunting in a private preserve. Personal problems and tensions between them will surface until the day turns into hell, as a reflection of the battle that took place in that same preserve during the civil war.
