Baracoa

Baracoa Franco Szymanski (Studio Gambetta)

Leonel and Antuán are two children who live in Pueblo Textil, Cuba. In the summer, their lives unfold through games, in the uninhabited places that surround the town and in the middle of nature. Their friendship shows the complicity typical of childhood. Antuán is going to go to Havana to live with his father and the inevitable separation of the two is marred by nostalgia that last summer together. The documentary directed by Pablo Briones achieves a strange mystique by approaching the enormous naturalness with which children consume their time between laughter, bets, bravado and fear.
