Arquitectura y vino
This exhibition aims to showcase the transformation that has taken place on Spanish wine routes in the last twenty years, in which Spanish wineries have gone from being places of tradition and production to become architectural emblems that reflect the identity of the destination, while at the same time blending into their natural and cultural surroundings. The exhibition, organised by the Spanish Embassy and curated by Belén García- Noblejas, brings together photographs, plans and models provided by the wineries of Celler Brugarol and Peralada, La Mejor de la Bodega, La Mejor de la Bodega and La Mejor de la Bodega. The exhibition, organised by the Spanish Embassy and curated by Belén García- Noblejas, brings together photographs, plans and models provided by the wineries Celler Brugarol and Peralada, La Mejorada, Marqués de Riscal, Protos, Portia and Ysios, by the studios RCR, Rafael Moneo, Frank Ghery, Richard Rogers, Norman Foster, and Santiago Calatrava respectively. A group of studios, most of which hold the Pritzker architecture prize and show why the symbiosis between architecture and wine has taken on a special value in Spain with the rise of wine tourism. Wineries are no longer just places of production, but cultural and tourist destinations: spaces that captivate, educate and entertain visitors. The fusion of design, functionality and aesthetics creates a lasting legacy that, like good wine, transcends time.
