Verano 1993

The fifth session of the "Film Series in Altrincham" will feature a screening of the film Verano 1993 (Carla Simón, 2017). Before the screening, a lecturer will provide an introductory presentation about the film. After the film, which will be shown with English subtitles, attendees are invited to participate in a discussion about the main themes of the movie.

Synopsis

After her mother's death, six-year-old Frida is sent to her uncle's family to live with them in the countryside. But Frida finds it hard to forget her mother and adapt to her new life.
