Week 8

The eighth week of CinemaAttic Cuarentena has programme full of masters and visionaries that shook Spanish cinema as we knew it. Pioneering directors of the so-called “Otro Cine Español.” finding new ways of filmmaking rebelling against the established rules (Elias Siminiani, Chema García Ibarra, Colectivo Los Hijos) coexist with established directors like the 10-Goya winning directors Jose Mari Goenaga, Jon Garaño and Aitor Arregui. We also take the chance to reclaim fresh new talent straight from the film school like Scottish/Spanish talent Inma de Reyes and Catalan Damia Serra. All garnished with the icing on the cake: a very typical Spanish film, a small animated surrealist portrait of Spain by our beloved Coke Riobóo.
