Challenges, achievements and shadows of the law in Spain and the United Kingdom

Challenges, achievements and shadows of the law in Spain and the United Kingdom ICManchester

In recent years, British and Spanish societies have faced considerable challenges such as the economic crisis in 2008, the territorial issue, Brexit, etc., and more recently, the COVID-19 pandemic. Faced with such turbulent times, lawyers must respond, among many other actors, to the needs of the population. Academics Manuel Espejo (University of Seville), Juan Pablo Murga (University of Seville), Óscar Celador (University Carlos III of Madrid) and Javier García Oliva (University of Manchester), deal in this presentation with the questions that public and private law in Spain and the United Kingdom must face in such a transcendental period as the one we are living in.
