Vanina Bruc was born in Barcelona and graduated in Communication from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. In 2017 she published her first novel, VERA. She writes stories, articles and essays for VEIN Magazine, Fucking Young !, Oxymore Magazine or Harper's Bazaar Art, which she combines with her facet as a model in a more performative field and illustration, always looking for new forms of artistic expression. Vanina grew up with Sailor Moon, Destiny's Child, Jane Austen, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Björk, and Kate Bush, among other influences; and with anime, pop art, nineteenth-century drama, the romantic and a punk elegance present in her works. In fiction, she has also written scripts and plays. And in her universe: self-discovery, science fiction, mysticism, aesthetics, dissent, mythology, queerness, emotions, sensitivity and the contemporary world. Dos Bigotes
The creators of the content of these cultural tablets are Gonzalo Izquierdo and Alberto Rodríguez, two journalists who in 2014 embarked on the creation of an independent publishing house motivated by their love for literature. Dos Bigotes specializes in LGTBI, feminism and gender topics. Our goal is not to exclude anyone, but quite the opposite: we believe that good literature interests all types of readers, beyond questions of gender or sexual identity.
