Storytelling: Pequeña Frida

The Instituto Cervantes in Manchester continues its storytelling series promoting children's reading. This time, in celebration of International Women's Day, we will be reading: Pequeña Frida, by María Isabel Sánchez Vegara. With Pequeña Frida, we begin a cycle of three storytelling sessions dedicated to some of the great figures of artistic creation in the Hispanic world.

Frida Kahlo was an extraordinary Mexican painter with remarkable creative talent. She often depicted herself in her work, and through her paintings we see not only the moments of sadness and pain she experienced, but also the passion, strength and bravery that defined her.
