Pa' trás ni pa' tomar impulso

Pa' trás ni pa' tomar impulso Diego Poleri y Sergio Caro

The commitment to the documentary runs throughout the work of the director Lupe Pérez García, who has always declared herself indebted to the school of Joaquín Jordá. Since her debut with Diario argentino (2007), the female protagonist connects her works as an evident and exemplary concern. Her work with female creators is another of her lines of reading, as shown with the violinist Gala Pérez in her peculiar revision of the myth of Antigone and with the flamenco dancer Carmen Mesa, of whom this film, which fuses the Andes and flamenco, speaks to us.

Synopsis

A journey that shows the strength and passion of Carmen, a brave Andalusian woman who, like other women, emigrates and pursues a dream. With her flamenco art, she will go stomping through the dusty roads of the Andes, the Qom communities or through the grid of Buenos Aires, all places where she will live with her soul families.
