Nirse González

The Instituto Cervantes Manchester, in collaboration with the Consulate of Spain in Manchester and the Iberian and Latin American Music Society, joins the Live at Lunchtime concert series organised by The Bridgewater Hall with a recital by guitarist Nirse González, who explores the expressive breadth of the classical guitar through works by Agustín Barrios Mangoré, Francisco Rodrigo Arto, Federico Ruiz, Inocente Carreño, Gentil Montaña, Roland Dyens and Astor Piazzolla. Bringing together pieces rooted in Latin American traditions, Spanish musical heritage and contemporary guitar writing, the recital offers a rich tapestry of musical identities and styles. Through this selection, Nirse González presents a vibrant and personal interpretation of repertoire that continues to shape his artistic development and his dialogue with diverse musical traditions.
