Nick ChaffeInstituto Cervantes in Manchester and Leeds organise a Storytelling with the aim of promoting and encouraging reading among young people with the best stories by Latin American authors. This is an ideal opportunity to learn about literature in Spanish and to get to know other worlds through literature. The first session dedicate to Mexico and "El Periquillo Sarniento", by José Joaquín Fernández de Lizardi. An adventure book he wrote to introduce his children to reading, with stories full of adventure and picaresque, where he is a philosopher or barber, apothecary or colonel's assistant. Stories full of friends like Juan Largo "el Aguililla", Andresillo and others who join his adventures in the search for a worthy trade in his life.
