The Disinherited

Between the documentary and the fiction, it is a portrait of the director's father, who presents the end of the family business of Pere Ferrés, manager and driver of a bus company. The economic situation of recent years makes the protagonist accept single party trips and he finally has to close his business. It is a short film that undoubtedly claims personal dignity regarding an adverse work situation.

Thanks to the documentary Laura Ferrés has won several prizes including: the Leica Discovery Award, the Cannes Film Critics' Week, the European Film Academy Awards nomination, the Gaudí Awards nominations, the Forqué Awards, the pre-selection for the Goya Awards 2018, and the selection in prestigious festivals such as New York and Seminci (where it was screened preceding the feature film "The party" by Sally Potter).
