La perfopoesía del siglo XXI: nuevos movimientos sociales en España Instituto Cervantes Mánchester

The Instituto Cervantes in Manchester, the University of Liverpool and the Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte de España are delighted to present ‘Performance Poetry in the 21st-Century: Innovative Social Movements in Spain’.

This event will present and promote the relevance of a poetic movement that has quickly become a social phenomenon in Spain capable of attracting massive audiences. The event will bring together 3 Spanish poets poéticas (Javier Arnaiz, Silvi Orión and Pablo Cortina) as well as an editor (Miguel de la Quintana, editor of Amargord) and a scholar (Diana Cullell, Reader in Hispanic Studies at the University of Liverpool and author of La perfopoesía española en el siglo XX: una revolución poética).

The event will also include performances from British poets to highlight the crucial links that exist with other poetic movements in the Anglo-Saxon context.
